6. UCSF Childrens Hospital- 4-H Alumni Reaches Out!

Dear San Benito County 4-H Community,
As many of you know, a child has medical needs beyond the regular scope of a general pediatrician.  Many in this community seek treatment out of our area. Some chose UCSF and others Stanford. I personally have taken many trips to see our dear friend after her many surgeries.  Children at UCSF have their own wing.  The doctors and especially the nurses are truly angels. They try to make life as normal as possible.  There are toys just like any home would have.  They sometimes wheel kids in little tikes wagons specially equipped with IV hangers.  This last year Reno has when to a conference at UCSF.  He also spent 8 or 9 days in a hospital watching surgeries of many types.  And lastly, he went to a Leadership Conference for his Fraternity in Ohio.

Reno is at it again.  This year he is in charge of the Skate For Fate event. He is the head of this fundraiser. And has decided on raising funds for the UC San Francisco Children's hospital.  Please read his letter and consider donating.  Any amount will be excepted and appreciated.  You might even have your name or business noted on the t-shirt.  Who to make your checks out to and the tax id number is noted on the letter enclosed.

Information and address, and tax Id# is on second page of letter.

Thank you so much for your support for Reno's Fundraiser.

Sincerely,

Kelly May

I have attached the letter below in case your family or business would like to contribute!

Course Information: The Make It Safe, Keep It Safe course is online and composed of a Pre-Test, 6 short informational video modules, and a Post-Test. It sounds like a lot but dont worry it should take LESS THAN ONE HOUR and does not have to be completed in one session! Please remember to take the 11 question Post-Test after you have completed the modules so that I receive an email notification- this will let me know how many people from each club have completed the training. To successfully complete the food safety training please answer 8 or more of the post test questions correctly.
