Enrollment Process for Youth (ages 5-19)
How to enroll your child(ren) in 4-H:
1. Find a club to join.
To find a 4-H club in your area, visit 4-H Clubs; this PDF includes the name and contact number for the Community Club Leaders, and meeting schedules and locations. You are welcome to contact the Club Leaders who can provide a detailed list of projects offered by the volunteer leaders in their club, and help you complete the enrollment process for your child(ren). Note: Some clubs have limits on the number of youth they can accommodate, so please check with the club leader to make sure you will be able to enroll in your selected club.
2. Your parent/guardian must enroll you online.
Make sure all the necessary fields in the online form are completed and that you have chosen at least one project for the child to participate in.
All children over 9 years old may enroll in any project they wish. Primary members (5-8 years old) are excluded from the following projects: swine, sheep, dairy cattle, beef cattle, horse & ponies, dairy goats, meat goats, llamas, shooting sports, ATV, Xsports. Primary members may participate in all other projects.
3. Print and complete a copy of the Youth Treatment Authorization Form along with a check/cash for $46.00 (enrollment fees) to your Club's Enrollment Coordinator or Community Club Leader.
The club’s Enrollment Coordinator is to serve as a guide in helping individual families in accessing 4hOnline and completing their enrollment. If a family has no Internet access, they may turn in a paper enrollment form to the Enrollment Coordinator, who will enter it into 4hOnline on their behalf.
