Looking for Targeted Grazers

Aug 27, 2019

Stephanie Larson, Livestock and Range Management Advisor in Sonoma County is making a comprehensive list of people who do targeted grazing. Below is an email Stephanie recently sent out...

In the wake of the devastating wildfires that affected Sonoma County, I reached out to many of you to discuss how we might increase vegetation management through grazing.  Working with the Rangeland Management Advisory Committee (RMAC), I am creating a list of individuals interested in performing targeted grazing.  This list is open to all contract grazers in California.

As several of you have also experienced recent wildfires in your counties, I invite you to share this survey and request with any contacts in your counties who might be interested in being listed on the “Match.Graze” list.

This list will be published online so that landowners, agencies, etc. can be easily find a contract grazer in their respective counties. Grazers can complete the survey at: https://ucanr.edu/survey/survey.cfm?surveynumber=27609.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.

Thank you in advance for sending out this survey.
