Youth Development
The Youth Development Advisor in San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties conducts applied research and provides outreach and leadership through the development of educational programs by serving as an educational resource in areas of importance to local communities.
Currently the youth development program is focused on two initiative areas:
Initiative 1: Developing educational programs and conducting applied research for youth in science, technology, environmental stewardship and natural resource education.
Programs addressing initiative one include:

California 4-H Science, Engineering and Technology Initiative
National 4-H Science, Engineering and Technology Initiative
Initiative 2: Serve as an educational resource and conduct applied research by providing local leadership and knowledge of youth development, through collaboration with local youth and community groups.
