Two Community Wildfire Meetings: August 14th in Tres Pinos & August 15th in Paicines

Aug 8, 2024

The San Benito Wildfire Resilience Program (SBWRP) is hosting two community meetings in August to provide residents with information and gather input to update the countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), last updated in 2010.  As wildfire frequency and severity continues to increase, it is more important than ever for communities to have a plan in place to prepare for, reduce the risk of, and adapt to wildland fire events. Your participation will help to ensure that the updated CWPP considers values important to you!  Dinner will be provided to registrants, courtesy of a grant awarded to UC Cooperative Extension.

Please share this important information with your neighbors and friends who live in high wildfire risk areas of San Benito County. Details and registration for each meeting are attached and below:

  • Wednesday, August 14th, 5:30-8:00 pm at Bolado Park & Event Center, Oaks Room, Tres Pinos. Residents of Tres Pinos, Paicines, Cienega Valley, Panoche, Ashford Highlands HOA, Hidden Valley HOA, Southside Road, and nearby communities are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome. Register Here
  • Thursday, August 15th, 5:30-8:00 pm at Jefferson School, 221 Old Hernandez Rd, Paicines. Residents of Paicines, Panoche, Bitterwater, and nearby communities are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome. Register Here.
